OKOndt GROUP specialists conducted a technical session on operating the ETS2-73 rail flaw detector for nondestructive testing personnel of the CENACAF (Centro Nacional de Capacitación Ferroviaria) railway training center. The five-day instructor-led program combined theory and hands-on practice.
Training Program: Theoretical Sessions and On-Track Practice
In accordance with the ETS2-73 Operating Manual, the following key areas were addressed:
- Application in rail testing
Practical use of the flaw detector, including correct operating procedures and inspection workflow. - Calibration procedures
Calibration in accordance with the operating documentation and preparation of the instrument for inspection. - Software operation and data handling
Operation of calibration software, visualization of inspection data, defect detection, and documentation of inspection results.

Training Results and Customer Support
Upon completion of the session, three CENACAF specialists received certificates confirming successful instruction and hands-on practice in ETS2-73 rail flaw detector operation in accordance with the manufacturer’s operating documentation.
The certified CENACAF specialists will subsequently be involved in training additional railway NDT personnel who will operate the ETS2-73 system.
