OKOndt Group has launched a new generation of the system for high-speed ultrasonic testing of railways - OKOSCAN UT 73HS PICKUP. It is intended for integration at the HI-Rail vehicle. The first sold system is already operating in the USA and had been combined with Ford F350 XL (SUPER DUTY).
An ultrasonic testing of both rails is conducted at speed of up to 40 km/h, detecting all types of defects. Testing results are being visualized in A-Scan and B-scan modes and being saved in the database.
Four immersion wheels (RSUI) contain 0°, 37°, 50°, 70° probes.
Construction of OKOSCAN UT 73HS PICKUP allows positioning of the RSUIs on rail axes while tracking the railway gauge.
